The giant that was. It has ambitious plans to rebuild the moat that they once own. With Pat Gelsinger leading the team, it can be done!

Wilcox now serves as an Intel Fellow and the lead of the company’s Design Engineering Group, making him responsible “for the architecture of all SoCs for all Intel client segments.” This actually marks a return to Intel for Wilcox, as he worked at the company from 2010 through 2013 as a principal engineer for PC chipsets.

"Taiwan is not a stable place," said Gelsinger, adding that Beijing sent 27 warplanes to Taiwan's air defense identification zone this week. "Does that make you feel more comfortable or less?"

Isn't this kind of saying if Taiwan is stable and then there's nothing Intel can do about it?

Electrek has learned Tesla is shipping the electric crossover in China with an AMD Ryzen processor running the infotainment system instead of the usual Intel CPU.

More good news for AMD and bad news for Intel.

This, in my opinion, is what a value trap looks like. The numbers always look great but the stock price simply would not go anywhere. But that's expected because when a company failed to deliver for like 20 quarters for what they promise you know something is really off.

Nvidia is breaking out on the news that they're entering the CPU business. And the stock price quickly approached all-time-high and it looks like a breakout is imminent. Maybe it would really move this time with all the good stories about crypto or chips and stuff in the market.

$amd and $intc also dipped because of this news. $nvda

“I am confident that the majority of our 2023 products will be manufactured internally,” he said. “At the same time, given the breadth of our portfolio, it’s likely that we will expand our use of external foundries for certain technologies and products.”

In my opinion, the implication of this news is $amd would continue to take their market share away. $intc $tsm

$amd is up 2.3% afterhour.

When you promise to deliver 7nm in 2016 and 2017 and 2018 and 2019 and 2020 you know they would never deliver anymore. Their financial statements look much stronger than AMD but this is a company with no future. And it's an avoid regardless of how good your financial statements is. $AMD $INTC

They have some issues with their 7nm processes and they even plan to outsource 7nm chips to other foundries. This is ridiculous as a IC chip company. The future of this company is not good.
