AMD - TECHNOLOGY PLAY STRATEGY = GARP (growth at a reasonable price) AMD is one of the SEMIS sector leaders together with NVDA, but presents itself better on valuation.

Electrek has learned Tesla is shipping the electric crossover in China with an AMD Ryzen processor running the infotainment system instead of the usual Intel CPU.

More good news for AMD and bad news for Intel.

Nvidia is breaking out on the news that they're entering the CPU business. And the stock price quickly approached all-time-high and it looks like a breakout is imminent. Maybe it would really move this time with all the good stories about crypto or chips and stuff in the market.

$amd and $intc also dipped because of this news. $nvda

Intel’s New CEO Commits to Manufacturing, Sending Shares Lower

“I am confident that the majority of our 2023 products will be manufactured internally,” he said. “At the same time, given the breadth of our portfolio, it’s likely that we will expand our use of external foundries for certain technologies and products.”

In my opinion, the implication of this news is $amd would continue to take their market share away. $intc $tsm

$amd is up 2.3% afterhour.

Think it'll do well now that intel is delaying the release of their chips Their partnership with APPLE would make this rise

When you promise to deliver 7nm in 2016 and 2017 and 2018 and 2019 and 2020 you know they would never deliver anymore. Their financial statements look much stronger than AMD but this is a company with no future. And it's an avoid regardless of how good your financial statements is. $AMD $INTC

Like this name in the semi conductor and has got tons of new 7nm processors chips which will give good competition to intel in my view if it keeps going at this pace. The company operates in two segments, Computing and Graphics; and Enterprise, Embedded and Semi-Custom.

Advanced Micro Devices has gone up a lot and crashed more than 90% from the peak twice in the past 20 years. There's no guarantee this wouldn't happen again this time. Although they're coming up with faster cPUs compare with Intel ones I am still not convinced this could move any higher.

AMD just announced a cheaper, faster cpu

I'd never imagine one day AMD can come up with a cpu that's cheaper and more performant in terms of per-core or multi-core performance than intel cpus. I wonder how the market is going to react on this.
